Rod is curious. Always has been. Especially about how things work and are constructed. First, he took his bike apart and put it back together. Then he built skateboards and a surfboard. By high school, Rod recognized that his ticket to exploring design and construction as a living was architecture. His approach is one of details and collaboration. Rod is an advocate for inclusive design and construction, an approach which results in successful, well-built projects like the recently completed San Joaquin Regional Transit District (SJRTD) Regional Transportation Center and multiple projects at the Sacramento International Airport.
When he wants to relax, Rod spends time on his boat with his family. His true longing? Studying coastal navigation operation of larger yachts and cruising the San Juan Islands. Just picture it. Rod on his boat, fishing for salmon and enjoying the catch with a nice bottle of wine. Good times.
“I have always been up for a challenge and architecture is a challenge every day. New problems demand new solutions and we find those solutions for our clients.”
