Sacramento State has made a growth transition from small rural college to urban regional university, and adequate and convenient parking has been a continuing goal.

The successful completion of Sacramento State’s 4-story, 1000-car Parking Structure II was immediately followed by the commission for a third garage. Nearly four times as large as II, Parking Structure III is six stories and has 3,500 stalls.

A key design task was to minimize the bulk of the building through landscaping and ground-level, pedestrian treatment. Careful detailing, excellent traffic flow, innovative and human-scale features make this a welcome addition to the campus.
