Garrett says design can change the world. Why? Because he believes good, timeless design can simplify lives and reduce stress. McKinley Park does that for him, too. Walking with his wife and dog up and down the tree-lined streets of East Sacramento is Garrett’s favorite Sacramento pastime. The neighborhood is so unique! With its many facets and angles, every walk provides new and exciting ideas to include in his designs.
Growing up, Garrett was fascinated with Legos. He never followed the directions, opting to design and build his own creations. While it took until his second year in architecture school to fully understand his passion for design, the seeds were planted. Today, he brings that same passion to all of his work, including projects like the Placer County Animal Services Center, the PG&E Gas Operations Technical Training Center and ICON’s Aircraft Headquarters and Manufacturing Facility.
