Architecture was not a profession Michael ever considered when he was young. Instead, teaching seemed to be the natural choice because he really enjoyed helping others. It was wasn’t until he read the book Cradle to Cradle at age 24 that Michael became interested in pursuing the profession. For Michael, the idea of healthy buildings that people enjoy living and working in is a driving force for him. “The idea how the design of a space affects people, their health and their happiness is one of my major interests.”
Outside the office, Michael loves to support the Sacramento SPCA. Dogs are a huge part of his life and have been a passion of his since middle school- which is fantastic since D+B is a dog friendly workplace!
