$2.5 Million

333 University Avenue just received a complete makeover of its two-story lobby space, truly embracing its newly found openness and the clean art gallery aesthetic.

The solid, pony wall guardrails around the second floor balconies were replaced by a frameless glass railing system. New interior finish selections for floors, ceilings, accent paints all share the common theme with 300 University Avenue and 301 University Avenue office buildings, reinforcing the overall design coherence within University Office Park in the Campus Commons area of Sacramento. Existing interior tree planters were removed to further open up the lobby space.

Dreyfuss + Blackford also provided consultation services for the massive art installation in the lobby. The artwork, “Drop by Drop” by artist Stephanie Taylor, is a raindrop theme suspended sculpture. The sculpture, together with the sound of the flowing water from a new water feature under the open stair all add to the overall experience. Simple bench seating is placed in strategic locations for viewing the rotating artwork, as in an art gallery.
